Join us for the Robot Year edition of RoboCafé at RoboHouse, a relaxed community gathering for the robotics and innovation ecosystem. We bring together founders, researchers, engineers, students, and partners to connect, exchange ideas, and reflect on what’s shaping robotics this year. Expect an informal café setting with free drinks.
Robotic Couture: Embedded Intelligence in Interactive Fashion
In our June session, Anouk Wipprecht will share how she approaches wearable design as a real-time system, bringing together embedded electronics, sensor networks, and actuation directly into garments. She will show how, in her work, technology becomes a way to translate and express emotion, turning the body into a living, interactive interface.
For Anouk, garments are more than objects: they become a new language of communication, responding to proximity, attention, and social context. Alongside these technical insights, she reflects on her experience designing from a female perspective within engineering, and why diversity is essential in shaping the systems we build. This session offers a personal and in-depth look at the intersection of robotics, human–machine interaction and expressive wearable technology.
