Having already trained robots for more than a dozen system integrators, the company is now attracting interest from large corporates. Luxottica – the world’s biggest eyewear manufacturer and distributor – which counts Oakley and Ray-Ban amongst its many brands, has come to Fizyr for help. After several years spent trying to automate its picking process in-house, it has turned to Fizyr for help in realising their vision. Meanwhile, US-based MHS, has invested in Fizyr’s software to automate their picking cells.
Our software translates a 3D image into valuable information, which enables the robot to grasp the unknown items – regardless of whether they are moving or whether the robot has seen these particular objects before. – Herbert ten Have, CEO Fizyr
And the secret of their success? Herbert ten Have, CEO, puts it down to their technology: “through supervised deep learning, we can train robots so that they can locate an object, classify it, grasp it and finally, place it. Our software translates a 3D image into valuable information, which enables the robot to grasp the unknown items – regardless of whether they are moving or whether the robot has seen these particular objects before. Fizyr’s software opens the door to automating picking and logistics.”
