Kim Liebregts, Benelux Country Director Tesla Motors, has been confirmed as opening keynote for the International Robotics Week on 19-21 April 2017 in World Forum, The Hague. During her keynote, Kim will introduce the audience to the world of Tesla.
Strongly driven by their mission, Tesla is not just an automaker; it is a technology and design company with a focus on energy innovation. Since its entry into the market on 2003, Tesla has helped revolutionise the automotive industry. Tesla cars are electric and do not use fossil fuel. Besides this, Tesla has actively been working on merging robots and cars to make self-driving vehicles.
International speakers
Besides Kim Liebregts a host of other international speakers are scheduled to present during the International Robotics Week. Frederik Brantner, CEO & Founder Magazino, will tell participants of the Intralogistics track about the revolution that is changing the way warehouses work. How do robots contribute to this and what benefits will this have?
In the robotics for healthcare track, Marcelo Ang, National University of Singapore Advanced Robotics Lab, will talk about the need for “soft robotics” and the various forms these robots come in. It is important to make robots safe for human-robot interaction. “Softness” can be achieved using softer and non-metallic materials; or through advanced sensing and control.
